The title of the painting is “MH17” which refers to the flight number of the plane shot down over the Ukraine in July of 2014. Measuring 240cm x 180cm.
The panting is an allegory of the plane “MH17” shot down over the Ukraine in July of 2014; honouring the people that lost their lives in the attack.
I think the catastrophe of “MH17” being shot down is on a par with Greek mythology which inspired me to use the metaphor of a winged figure being shot with an arrow to represent the plane being shot by the missile.
